About Danalix Calendar
Danalix Calendar allows you to quickly schedule, create, view, edit, update, share, and export Specific Time Entry Activities (STE). In addition, you can set and get reminders about upcoming Activities, so you never have to miss a meeting.
The Calendar is personalized, providing tailored solutions for your specific law firm needs. No need to enter your “to do Activities” on other device calendars or application calendars that are not specific to your legal needs.
The Calendar allows you to do the following:
Create and edit new Time Specific Entry activities for past, current, and future activities.
Display Today’s Agenda and reminds you of all upcoming Activities for the current day, with their detailed information and due times.
Activities that are created as Tentative are displayed in yellow and those created as Permanent are displayed in Blue.
You can easily and quickly view and access “Today Agenda” from your Dashboard.
You can easily access the full Calendar to view your daily, weekly, and monthly Calendar entries.
Note: The Calendar only displays information for Time Specific Entry activity and not the other activity types such as Expense Entry and Block Time Entry.
Who Can Use the Calendar
Anyone who has access to Danalix platform is able to access the Calendar feature.
Creating a Calendar Activity
When you create a calendar Activity, you are actually creating a Specific Time Entry Activity.
When you create a calendar entry for Specific Time Entry, Danalix gives you the ability to enter information such as (but not limited to):
Client and Matter information
Start and End dates
Duration time of activity
The option to conduct your activity as a “virtual meeting”
The ability to invite one or more firm users to your meeting
Share your activity entry with one or more firm users
Set reminders (minutes, hours, or days) prior to the scheduled time
Save your Activity as “Draft.” Entries saved as Draft are still displayed on the Calendar
How to Create a Calendar Activity Entry
Go to:
Option 1:
Calendar sidebar menu > on the calendar screen displayed, click the “Create Calendar Event” button
Option 2:
Click on the calendar table cell relative to your desired date and time. Use the same method whether you are in the monthly, weekly, or daily calendar view.
You can create an activity entry for past, present, and future dates and times.
Things to Note when creating a calendar activity
If your start time has “today’s date and time” and your end time has a “future date and time,” the activity entry is displayed in the calendar on both dates within their respective time slots.
Example, if your calendar entry start time is: Oct 21, 11:50 PM and end time is: Oct 22, 1:00 AM, the Activity is displayed in both Calendar days.
When you create a Calendar Activity that has the same or overlapping dates and times as an already created Activity, you are alerted:
a. That there is a conflict, to view the Activities in conflict, and will automatically convert the first Activity created to a temporary Calendar entry.
b. You can later update the first created Activity entry to a permanent Calendar entry using the Activity function.
Helpful Tips:
When creating a Specific Time Entry Activity, ensure you create a Matter beforehand or afterward since creating a Matter at this stage will direct you into the Matter creation flow and your already entered Specific Time Entry Activity information will not be saved, so you’ll have to re-create your Calendar Activity.
How to Delete a Calendar Activity
Unfortunately, you are not able to delete a Calendar Activity entry directly from the calendar at this time.
However, you can delete the entry from the Calendar by going to:
Activities & Billing sidebar menu > Activities tab > All sub-tabs> Find the Specific Time Entry Activity > Actions menu > Delete.
Calendar View Formats
The calendar entries are viewable in: months, weeks, and days.
Calendar Time Zone
Your Calendar Time Zone will adopt the time Zone associated with your computer and device. At this time, the calendar does not give you the capability to change your time zone.
