Retainer Agreement
About Retainer Agreement
A Retainer Agreement is required for every Matter created. For ease of use, Danalix provides you with Retainer Agreement templates to use or you can use your own.
How to Create a Retainer Agreement
If a retainer is not yet created, an exclamation icon will display, which indicates that you need to create the Retainer Agreement.
To create a Retainer Agreement, go to:
Clients & Matters sidebar menu > Matters tab > find the Client and Matter you want to create the retainer agreement for > actions menu > Create Retainer Agreement screen > complete all relevant form fields.
On the Retainer Agreement screen, enter all information relevant to you. Danalix makes this process very easy for you by pre-populating already known information in the Retainer Agreement such as Client’s information and Matter.
As well, it provides the option for you to select the type of retainer agreement you want to create, e.g. agreement for legal services, agreement for consultation services, agreement for citizen and immigration, and more.
You can also easily sign the Retainer Agreement electronically and email the signed copy to your Client in real-time.
The Client will receive an email to accept, view, approve, and sign the Retainer Agreement.
Danalix also makes it easy and convenient for your Client to view, approve, sign, and return the Retainer Agreement from the email they receive.
The copy of the Retainer Agreement the Client receives will have only your signature.
Once the client signs and approves the retainer agreement, the retainer agreement will automatically be updated with both signatures. This will be reflected on the copy the client receives and the copy saved within Danalix system.
The client is able to print or download the retainer agreement as well.
Note:
You will also receive a copy of the retainer agreement in your personal email inbox.
How to View Retainer Agreement
Once the retainer agreement is signed and approved by you and your client, you can view the final copy with both signatures within Danalix.
