Joint Client Verification

About joint client verification

You perform a “Joint Client Verification” when a new Joint Client provides you with Identification(s) that attests to who they say they are.

Required Identification could be government issued documents (e.g. Passport, Drivers License, etc.) or other documents identified as legitimate identification.

If the Joint Client is an Organization, extra business documents and information are required for verification such as (but not limited to):

• Certificate of Corporate Status
• Annual Filings
• Names and Occupation(s) of Directors
• Names, Addresses and Occupation(s) of Owners or Shareholders

When a new Joint Client is created, it is mandatory that you perform a “Joint Client Verification.”
The Joint Client is not fully created until you verify the joint client.

How to perform a joint client verification

There are two ways to perform a Joint Client Verification:

Option 1:

Once the new joint client is added to Danalix system, it is listed on the Client Summary screen where you can locate the new joint client to complete the verification.

Step 1

Go to:

Clients & Matters sidebar menu > Clients tab > locate the Client associated with the Joint Client you want to verify > Actions menu > View Joint Client

Step 2

On the screen providing the list of Joint Clients, find the Joint Client you want > select Actions menu > Verify Client.

Note: If the Joint Client is not verified, you will see the red exclamation icon beside the Action menu. Once the Joint Client verified, the icon will disappear.

Step 3

On the “Verification of Identity” screen, complete the form fields provided and click save.

Once verification is performed, the joint client is fully created and the red exclamation icon will disappear. You can also view and edit the verified information.

**Option 2:**

At the time of adding a new Joint client, you are prompted to complete a joint client verification, which is optional at this stage.

Follow the steps of Option number 1.
